THE PHILO PROJECT: ROLLING HARVEST FOOD RESCUE
For best picture quality, please watch in 720 or 1080 HD
Rolling Harvest Food Rescue collects donated produce from local farms and markets, and distributes immediately to the non-profit hunger-relief agencies helping the most needy families in the community.
Rolling Harvest sites include food pantries, domestic violence shelters, senior centers, homeless shelters and at-risk low-income adults with health challenges. 32% of the people they help are children; 12% are seniors. In addition to the daily pick-up and delivery schedules, they also hold weekly free "farmers' markets” at some of the sites to educate the recipients about nutrition, cooking and using the donated produce to their best benefit with no waste.
